My own garden

My own garden has been a labour of love, involving moving tonnes of stone and soil, and lots of back breaking digging. It has taken us almost a decade to transform, carrying out the majority of the work ourselves. We have terraced a sloping site, removed lots of large conifers, built 'dry-stane' walls, laid a lawn and are now finally enjoying the planting as it matures... and the odd glass of wine, now that the bulk of the hard work is done.

It has been a very enjoyable process and one which has given me a lot of 'hands-on' experience which has proved invaluable in terms of advising clients of the processes involved in building a garden from scratch.
